Sniper Plumbing(“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy and handles your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). This policy explains what we collect through this website, why we collect it, and your rights.

1. Who is responsible for your information

2. What we collect

When you send an enquiry through the form on this website, we collect the details you give us: your name, email address, phone number, the service you need and the message you write. If you contact us on WhatsApp or by phone from this website, we receive the details you share in that conversation.

Like most websites, the site’s hosting provider automatically records standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, to keep the site secure and working. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not use analytics tools to follow you around the internet. Your browser may store a small setting so that the page layout displays correctly; it does not identify you.

3. Why we collect it

We use your information only to respond to your enquiry, give you a quote, carry out the plumbing work you ask for, and keep reasonable records of that work. We will not use it for marketing unless you ask us to keep in touch.

4. Service providers we use

Enquiries submitted through the form are delivered to us by a third-party form service, and this website is run by a third-party hosting provider. The map on this website is provided by Google Maps, and links to WhatsApp open WhatsApp, which handles your messages under its own privacy policy. These providers process information only to deliver their part of the service. Some of them are based outside South Africa, so your information may be processed in another country by providers that are bound by data protection laws or agreements that offer protection comparable to POPIA.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only where it is needed to provide the service you asked for, or where the law requires us to.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry for as long as we need it to respond and to provide our services, and for about 12 months after that for our records, unless the law requires us to keep it longer or you ask us to delete it sooner.

7. Your rights under POPIA

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it, by contacting us at Gilbertpipes@gmail.com or 073 770 2379. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa): enquiries@inforegulator.org.za, www.inforegulator.org.za.

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with its effective date at the top.
